Paper and Watermark Museum

Another feather in the cap of the Marche region is the Paper and Watermark Museum in Fabriano, about 135 kilometres from the hotel. It is here that the first papermakers of the Marche region, about seven hundred years ago, kneaded cellulose and created the first books and paper materials in the history of this region.

The museum is located in the complex of the former Dominican convent, and the route to visit it is divided into sections: from the manual creation to the display of filigrees, up to the processing with advanced techniques and high technology.
